Discover the Chatzigaki Manor in Pertouli, its venues, services and history. Let’s explore the buildings and facilities of the hotel Chatzigaki Manor together
The Manor
At the center of the complex, among tall, centuries-old fir trees, stands the main building, the Manor. Built in 1892, it served originally as a military tower, later completely reconstructed. Characterized by the symmetry of its façade as well as its bold angles and simple lines, it consists of a ground floor plus two other stories.
On the ground floor, in the old mansion cellar, the large arches and the domed windows were retained, and a reception area created, along with spacious living-rooms with a large fireplace, and behind them, an area dedicated to board games, card games, backgammon and chess. Every tile of the original floor was kept for the restoration.
On the two upper floors of the manor there are 12 rooms: 8 Classic rooms, 3 Prestige rooms and the Manor Suite. In the public areas of the first and second floors you can relax in the lounges overlooking the fir forest or enjoy the aura of bygone days by looking at the old family photos and objects that have survived from the days of the mansion’s glory as a holiday house.
The Loggia
The Loggia or “Hagiati” is a building at the side of the Manor, which was rebuilt in the same spot where the creamery and warehouses of the mansion once stood. Today it houses 8 Garden Residence rooms and 3 Garden Residence Suites.
The main building of the Manor and the Loggia have an underground linkage. In the semi-underground spaces of the Loggia there is a small gym, along with separate saunas for men and women. There is also a playroom for children, a room with an American billiard table, a room with ping pong tables and a TV room.
The new wing
The architectural style of the New Wing of the Manor matches that of the other buildings, with stone and wood the predominant materials. The New Wing hosts 10 Superior Rooms and 3 Superior Suites. The decor of the rooms in the new wing is somewhat more modern than that of the rooms in the older wings, but its atmosphere is in perfect harmony with the style and ambience of the hotel.
Berta, the event venue in the new wing, is suitably designed and equipped to host receptions and conferences. There are also two underground parking spaces in this building.
The multi-purpose building
The multi-purpose building, constructed to meet the needs of this luxurious hotel, is on three levels:
On the upper level is the “Boudoura” restaurant, which was named after the homonymous peak of the mountain. The restaurant is dominated by a large fireplace and has impressive views towards both the opposite mountain and the village of Pertouli. The combination of wood and stone in the floor, the wood-carved ceilings, and the unique aesthetics of the furniture, delicately bestow on the visitor an atmosphere worthy of the surrounding landscape. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here.
The middle level hosts the Marossa Café and the Marossa Venue, which owe their names to the opposite mountain. In this beautifully decorated room, with its large sofas, imposing fireplace and fine views, guests may enjoy a coffee or drink, snacks, local herbal infusions, fresh juices and local sweets prepared in the hotel from traditional recipes. On the same level is found the Conference Hall ‘Theodoros Papathanasiou’, which has modern audio-visual equipment.
On the lower level is found the Pool Bar Karpouza. This small and stylish bar that overlooks Pertouli, operates only during the summer months, and serves the hotel’s swimming pool and surrounding garden. In the garden, under tall willows, the visitor can enjoy drinks, coffee, snacks, ice cream, sweets, all made with love and special care in the mansion, and then there’s the garden by the pool, which is ideal for summer parties and banquets. The Pool Bar, Karpouza, was named after a place on the Kamnaitikos River, a tributary of the Acheloos River, which crosses the valley of Pertouli. Karpouza is the local name for the natural pools formed by the river, where locals and visitors swim during the summer months.
The Chapel
The Chapel of Agia Paraskevi is nestled at the top of the estate in a lovely setting for those wishing to celebrate their wedding or the christening of their child, with a party afterwards for friends and relatives in the same spot. It is located northwest of the Manor, at the highest point of the complex. A tastefully constructed stone building it is “overwhelmed” by jasmine and flowers, whose scent, along with the simplicity and position of the chapel with its stunning views, provoke a deep and reverent sense of peace and create a unique, romantic atmosphere for those who choose it for life’s most significant and intimate ceremonies.
